Apple AirPods
Max 2

We've made work for Apple. We can't show you any of it.

So we made something we can. A 25-second self-initiated brand film for AirPods Max 2, built around the idea of the world going quiet. No voiceover, no dialogue, no brief. Just cinematic imagery, sound and a product we wanted to make something for.

The bit you don’t see

The headphones in the film were built from scratch in Blender.

We modelled them piece by piece: canopy, telescoping stem, digital crown, button and ear cushions, each built separately so it could be lit and moved on its own.

The cushions took the longest. The knit isn’t a printed texture. It’s layered displacement over a subdivided mesh, so the weave has real depth and catches the light the way fabric does.

Then a white studio, soft light and a slow camera. Twenty-five seconds of film. Considerably longer in the viewport.

Inside the Blender file: the knit cushion, stem and digital crown, then out through the camera.
